Studio Indermühle is a color-based creative practice rooted in bold abstract expression and intuitive mark-making. Working across self-published books, public art, and large-scale installations, the studio explores what happens when color takes the lead. The work is playful, vibrant, and unapologetically bold, built on the belief that creative expression should be accessible, joyful, and most of all fun.
MY STORY
Hi, I'm Aly Indermühle, the artist behind Studio Indermühle. Color and shape have been my creative language for as long as I can remember. My work explores the intersection of intuitive mark-making and vibrant color, from large-scale public art to the intimate pages of the Playful Coloring series.
I created the Playful Coloring series because I continually witness people of all ages lose themselves in the simple act of coloring and I wanted to create something that honored that joy with genuine artistic integrity. Studio Indermühle is my color-based creative practice, rooted in the belief that creative expression should be accessible, joyful, and most of all fun.
